Why Did Kohler Rebrand to Rehlko?

Kohler made the decision to focus exclusively on its kitchen and bath products. As a result, the company sold its energy division to Platinum Equity, which made it a separate business entity. Initially, it retained the Kohler Engines name, but early last fall, it was officially rebranded as Rehlko. Now, each company can focus on its respective industry moving forward.

What Does This Mean for Small Engine Users?

In the short term, there won’t be any major changes. Rehlko has stated that production, employees, and quality standards will remain the same. This is truly just a rebrand, not a complete overhaul.

For now, the Kohler logo will still appear on products, but throughout this year, we’ll begin to see the Rehlko logo alongside it. Over time, the Kohler branding will gradually fade, and all engines and parts moving forward will be branded solely as Rehlko. This approach gives  customers time to adjust to the rebrand.

The full impact of this rebrand remains to be seen. While there’s potential for Rehlko to introduce innovations and improvements, only time will tell what changes will come.
